Nathan Ford Obituary

Nathan Dennis Ford, Jr. PINOPOLIS, SC - Nathan Dennis Ford, Jr., 86, of Pinopolis, SC, a retired signal maintenance employee for Seaboard Coast Line, died Saturday morning in a North Charleston hospital. His funeral will be 3:00 p.m., Monday afternoon, March 8, 2010, at the graveside in St. John's Baptist Church Cemetery, Pinopolis. Interment will follow directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a charity of one's choice. Mr. Ford was born May 18, 1923, in Tarboro, NC, a son of Nathan Dennis Ford, Sr., and Lillie Mae Curry Ford. He was a Navy veteran of W.W. II and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Ford loved the outdoors and animals. Surviving are, two daughters, Hope F. Paul and her husband, Gary, of Moncks Corner, and Ellen F. Viamontes and her husband, Louis, of Jensen Beach, FL; three sons, Dennis Lee Ford and his wife, Kim, of Copper's Cove, TX, Billy Ford and his wife, Georgie, of Pinopolis, and Arthur Ford and his wife, Susan, of Moncks Corner; two sisters, Betty Nelson of Virginia Beach, VA, and Elsie Hardy of Jacksonville, FL; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
