Nancy Jenney Obituary

MARION — Nancy Sorensen Jenney, 74, of Wareham died May 17, 2007, at the Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion after her long battle with cancer. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Born in Perth Amboy, NJ to Hans and Grace Sorenson, Nancy lived much of her life in near the ocean on the South Eastern Massachusetts coast in Marion, Onset and finally Wareham proper. A self proclaimed snowbird, she also kept winter residences in Florida throughout most of her life, but settled at Englewood in her final years.

An avid artist, Nancy was active in local arts communities making jewelry, painting and potting. She found great joy in the creation of beauty and in the sharing of if with others—there are many "Jenney Originals" in existence that will hold unmatched value to their owners both for their quality and the memories they instill.

Nancy is survived by her loving children, grandchildren and siblings; daughter, Leah Bialic and her husband Ted of Middleboro; son, Peter and his wife Judith of Hollis, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Hannah Bialic, Patrick and Devon Jenney; sister, Pat Vincentz of Falls Church, VA; sister, Betty Rypkema of Waldwick, NJ; brother, Skip of Vero Beach, FL.

Private funeral services will be held at Rock Cemetery in Middleboro.

In lieu of flowers; donations to the American Cancer Society at 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 are greatly appreciated by the family and all those battling cancer in one way or another.
