Nancy Huggins Obituary

Nancy Ryan Huggins MT. PLEASANT - Nancy Ryan Huggins died Wednesday, Sept. 7 in her home after a long battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William C. Ryan, Jr. and Michael L. Huggins, her son, Michael Ryan, and her six brothers and sisters. Nancy was born Dec. 12, 1930 in Pepperhill, Mass., but after moving here, became a Charlestonian through and through. She was instrumental in the establishment of the gift shop at historic Drayton Hall and was also its first manager. She is survived by her son, Kip Ryan (Rhoda), her daughters Bonnie Boydston and Tara Harney, and step-daughter, Betsy Miller (Andrew), and step-son, Michael Huggins, Jr. (Jackie). In addition, she is survived by grandchildren, Doran Harney (Tiffany), Jim Harney, Stephen Mann, step-grandchildren, Anna and Megan Miller, and great-granddaughter, Carly and other great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Caroline Huggins and nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Charleston Cremation Center.
