I am just seeing this in May of 2021 after sitting in meditation this morning and thinking of Nancy Hart.I lived in Charleston for many years and between 1997-2002, I developed a great friendship with Nancy Hart and Fitzhugh at Grace Episcopal Church. They were both such positive people and made me feel so loved and special. I was fortunate enough to dine at their beautiful home many times through church functions. I was in a very meaningful Sunday school class with Nancy. She had a great influence in my faith journey. They were both just wonderful people and I´m lucky to have known them.

Hart, Margery, Druid and Fitz
My heart goes out to you in the loss of your Mother. Nancy and Fitzhugh were two of the dearest friends that I have known. Your mother had a gift for making others feel special to her. Being a part of your lives has been a blessing to mine.

Hart and Jeff, Margery and Peter, Druid and Sam, Fitz and Monica, so sad to know that Aunt Nancy is no longer here on this earth to hug and love on. Happy that she and Uncle Fitzhugh are together again in Heaven.
So many happy memories of the Hamricks and the Howells sleeping over at each other's houses to give our Mom's a break. Sunday lunch of either roast beef at the Hamricks or spaghetti at the Howell House. Too many to name, but hold close in our minds and hearts. ♥
Love you all, and all of the next generation to continue the legacy. Lisa, Lane and I will be there to represent our family. Looking forward to hugs. Love you all.

To Hart,Jeff and family, I just opened the paper around 3 today and was saddened to read that Ms Nancy died. Your father and mother was admired so much by my family. Shining example of Christian southern couple. Hugs to all of you. She will be missed.

So sorry to read of your loss; yet what we count and feel as our loss is her gain, for to us as children of the heavenly King, "...to die is gain." May the Lord comfort you and shepherd you and be your strength as you continue your walk without her. She was indeed a good teacher.

My heart aches knowing that I can't hear more of Mrs. Nancy's stories and see her smile as I walk in the door. However, I look forward to seeing her again someday! I have been truly blessed to be able to get to know such a caring and positive family.

When we moved to Charleston many years ago to a new job with the YMCA for my husband, Nancy Hart and Fitzhugh wrapped arms of love around us and shared their family, their church, and their faith with us, making our almost 9 years there one of the best periods of our long marriage. They remained our friends after we left and will always be in our hearts. We grieve for those left behind whose lives were better with Nancy in it but rejoice in God's promise that this separation is temporary. Thank you, Lord, for this good and productive life.
My love and deepest sympathy to Nancy's precious family.I THINK I HEAR THE ANGELS SINGING, "WELCOME HOME; WELCOME, HOME!"
