Mary, Cissy,
I am so sorry to hear of your parents passing. My thoughts are with you both. I have such fond memories of them both from Middletown Christain Church as well as all the wonderful "fishing" stories our father would tell. He had a grin and twinkle in his eye and that was so endearing. Truly wonderful people.
With much sympathy,
Betty Mason Van Hoy

Mary Snow, Eileen, Joy Lee, Nancy Ruth & Cissy: I want you to know that my mother, Adrienne Mason Van Hoy from Sonora, KY, thought so much of Nancy and Robert Allison. Nancy Coffey Goldsmith (Maude Coffey's daughter), Bettie Akers Cave (also from Sonora) and I went out to dinner with them twice in recent years while we were in Kentucky. We enjoyed visiting with them on the farm and chatting about old times.
My deepest sympathy to all of you during this time. May you find comfort and peace in the wonderful lives they lived.

Our deepest sympathy on this horrible tragedy. We knew your dad through the horse industry, and had met your mom only once years ago. At the horse shows, your dad always went out of his way to stop and see us and give us a big hug. He always always made us feel like family, and always gave us his big grand smile to make us feel better than we did before we saw him. We wish we had known them better, but are blessed to have shared their friendship and love. Our best to you - you are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.

I did not know them personally, but worked with their daughter, Dr. Bell at Wedco Dist. Health Department where she offered her services to our patients. I admire her greatly and my prayers are with her and her family now in their time of loss.

I didn't know Bob and Nancy personally though I just found out today that we had a slight connection. They were customers of Citizens Union Bank that my family owns. I actually just received an email about 20 minutes ago from my brother letting me know that Bob had called in and complimented our staff for being so nice and wonderful to him. Told them he loved them and wished them a Merry Christmas. That was 48 hours before he died. That simple act of kindness to share his gratitude meant the world to the people at the bank.
I'm leaving an entry because I was behind Bob & Nancy (didn't know their names until recently) coming from Louisville and was the witness to the accident that took their lives. I called 911 and was there during everything that went on. Turned out the other driver that fell asleep was someone I had gone to school with since first grade. It was a very sad accident and night for so many. I wanted to let the family know who I was in case there were any questions. My grandmother was 91 when she was killed in a similar accident and I remember wanting to know more than a report told me. Seeing Nancy made me think about my own grandmother and I knew that Nancy was loved as a grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Getting the email today about how kind Bob was to go out of his way to pay such nice compliments to others let me know immediately of his character and warmth. I am sure that he will be missed and was loved and respected by many.
My prayers have been with you since the accident took place. Blessings of peace to you and yours during this difficult time.

Our deepest sympathy for your loss. I grew up just up the hill from them and they treated me like I was one of their grandkids-When my parents couldn't get me my first show horse-Mr. Bell found me a wonderful young horse and bought him for me-letting my parents pay them back over time. When I wanted to breed my pony-Mr. Bell put up with me showing up with her at least once a week for over a year and patiently helped me as I tried to get her to breed with his pony. For years they let me sit with them in their box at the state fair and cheered for me in the horse shows. Mr. bell taught my brother how to break a horse and gave him his first job working on the farm. They were so patient and kind and I will never forget them. They have always been angels and now they truly are...I will miss them and may God Bless their souls.

To the Bell Family,
I am so sorry for your losses. Mr. and Mrs. Bell were two of the sweetest and kindest people I've ever met. When my parents were ill, there wasn't a day that went by that they didn't call and check on my parents. This world was a better place with Nancy and Bob in it. My sincerest sympathies to the family.

We will never forget Nancy and Bob. My husband knew them since he was a child and I was fortunate to meet them when we were married 17 years ago. More than neighbors, they were like family and excellent role models for us and our son. We have so many wonderful memories of Nancy and Bob, all of them which make us smile. We wish that we could join you, to share these warm moments, at this time of sorrow. Sadly, we are out of the county for two weeks. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Paula and Bob Langford
