Myrtle Jones Obituary

Myrtle Clarice Jones CHARLESTON - Myrtle Clarice Jones, 100 years old entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 17, 2009. Born on March 1st 1909, Myrtle was a child of the great depression and she never forgot it's lessons of charity and thrift. Wife of the late Lewis Dewood Jones, she is survived by her brother Holbert Knight and her nephew Ron Knight and niece Rita Knight. Also, her brother in Law Harold P. Jones Sr, sister in law Willie Ruth Dopson and nephews Hal Jones, Ed Jones and Chip Dopson. Myrtle was a devoted member to the Unitarian Universalist Church and a supporter of the woman's alliance. Known for her generosity of spirit, she was a great lover of animals and a true adventurer who loved to travel the country in their airstream trailer. She will be greatly missed and always remembered as a great conversationalist. In lieu of flowers myrtle would have like any donations to support the SPCA.
