FIELDS, Myrtle The relatives and friends of Mrs. Myrtle E. Fields, age 86; residence, 1707 Heritage Park Rd., Charleston, SC 29407; those of her husband, Judge Richard E. Fields, Sr.; her children, Mary Diane Fields Reed of Washington, DC and Richard E. Fields, Jr. of Burlington, MA; one son-in-law, Michael J. Reed of Washington, DC; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Gilliam of Stratford, CT and Mrs. Isabelle Broughton of Charleston, SC; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ann Fields of Charleston, SC; three nieces, Mrs. Donna A. Kinsey of Charleston, SC, Mrs. Edwina Thompson of the Eastern shore of Maryland and Ms. Barbara Greene of Columbia, SC; one nephew, Mr. John Whitmore, Jr. of Stratford, CT; and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in Centenary United Methodist Church, 58-60 Wentworth St., Charleston, SC; Rev. Lorenzo Moses, Pastor. Inhumation, Brotherly Cemetery, Charleston, SC. Friends may call at Harleston-Boags Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Mrs. Myrtle Fields will lie-in-state on Wednesday in Centenary United Methodist Church from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the Myrtle E. Fields Educational Endowment at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC or Centenary United Methodist Church in Charleston, SC.
