Myrtis Staley Obituary

STALEY, Myrtis Myrtis Wyndham Staley, 85, of Macedonia, SC, a retired cafeteria operator for Berkeley Elementary School for more than 27 years, died Monday afternoon in a North Charleston hospital. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Thursday afternoon, March 8, 2007 in the Macedonia Christian Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Wednesday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Macedonia Christian Church, 1165 Betsy Hole Road, Bonneau, SC 29431. Mrs. Staley was born on December 15, 1921 in Macedonia, SC, a daughter of Christopher C. Wyndham, Sr. and Lanie Mills Wyndham. She was a member of the Macedonia Christian Church and was an avid reader. Mrs. Staley was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Shawn Jackson and was the widow of William Staley. Surviving are, two daughters, Patricia Staley Blackman and her husband, Randell, of Spartanburg and Linda Staley Jackson and her husband, Elwood, of Awendaw; three grandchildren, Elwood E. Jackson, Jr. of Summerville, Randell D. Blackman, Jr. of Boiling Springs, and Ryan J. Blackman of Spartanburg; and one great grandchild.
