Myrtis Simmons Obituary

MYRTIS, Simmons WALTERBORO - Myrtis Simmons, 52, of Charleston, S.C., and wife of Robert Simmons died Tuesday, September 13, 2005. The funeral will be 2 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2005, in Aimwell Presbyterian Church in Neyles. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Simmons was born in Walterboro, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Perry and Mable Simmons. She graduated from Walterboro High School where she loved to play basketball. She continued her education at Denmark Technical College in Denmark, S.C. Mrs. Simmons was a member of Aimwell Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: two children, Amber and Sheldon, of Charleston, S.C.; four grandchildren, Brittany, Keyshon, Shon'Keyra and A'ron; four sisters, Alfreda Jones of Charleston, S.C., Rosa Middleton and husband Eugene of Walterboro, Gwendolyn Doyle and husband Carl of Walterboro, Marilyn Brown and husband Earl of Havelock, NC; four brothers, Perry Simmons, Jr., Baltimore, MD, Pernell Simmons and wife Brenda, Lumberton, NC, Francis Simmons and wife Fanni, Daytona Beach, FL and Ty Anthony Simmons and wife Victoria of Okinawa, Japan; a step-mother, Mary P.
