Myrtis Aaron Connelly Easterlin CROSS, SC - Myrtis Aaron Connelly Easterlin, 78, of Cross, widow of Robert L. Easterlin, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017. Myrtis was born March 24, 1938 in Bamberg, SC to the late Laurie Aaron Connelly and Myrtis Margarette Folk Connelly. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church of Cross, SC, and a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Charleston, SC, where she served as sewing chairwoman for many years. She was active in her community as well as Internet crochet groups. She made quilts for the Miners Hospital, the homeless, the local veterans and victims of many natural disasters. Myrtis was owner of Easterlin's Sea Anchors. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be sadly missed by all. Surviving are her five children; Sherry Hamilton (Rich) of Hilton Head Island, SC; Robin Dantzler (Tommy) of Ladson, SC; Bruce Basterlin, Sr. (Ann) of Cross, SC; Sandra Clark (Frank) of Summerville, SC; Melody Coggin (Daniel) of Cross, SC, eight grandchildren; Sheila Weathersbee, Ashley Vlasaty, Tracy Black, Robert Dantzler, Bruce Easterlin, Jr., Wanda Easterlin, Dusti Roberts and Luke Clark; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mel Connelly (Carol) of Goose Creek, SC; Billy Connelly (Jan) of Cross, SC; Sisters-in-law, Cathy Connelly of Columbia, SC and Ruth Todd of Cross, SC. Maternal Aunt, Barbara Hammond of Johnsonville, SC, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Easterlin, and brother, Joseph Connelly. Her funeral service will be held at Friendship United Methodist Church in Cross Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 pm until the hour of service.
