Myron Yuschishin Obituary

I knew Myron mostly from his days at Corps HQ, though later our paths crossed occassionally. He was a good man. This is sad news. I pray for Myron, and for his family and friends, and send sympathy.

Angie, my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I worked with Myron on many differnt projects over the past 30 years. Our paths would cross periodically for brief periods of time. I will always remember his enthusiasm, good humor, dedication, and our discussions about the state of the world, family, friends, stocks, and sports. When I retired from the Corps in 2000 and started consulting Myron was the one who gave me my forst job; for that I will always be grateful. With deepest sympathy.

My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. I first met Myron in 1977 when I spent 3 months in OCE. We carpooled to work and played golf together. He was just taking up the game, which was not yet up to the skill level of his tennis game. A great friend, full of infectious good cheer. May he rest in peace with God.

I knew and worked with Myron in Philadelphia in the 70's. My recent contact was through e-mail. He was always quick with a smile, and his machine gun laugh was identifiable wherever he was. Although it has been a long time, I will miss not being able to hear him again.

Myron was a nice and fair gentleman and that's the way we should remember him.

Myron was a good friend and mentor during my career with the US Army Corps of Engineers both in his position in Washington DC, and as Chief of Planning in Savannah. He will be missed. You are in our paryers, Frank & Maryanne McGovern
