Myra and I were good friends when I taught at (and retired from) Dorman. I also had Kate in English 9 so it was a double pleasure to know her. I remember helping Myra with her computer one time. The school was upgrading and had told us to make copies of all on our computer over the holidays if we didn't want to lose anything. I passed Myra's door about 5 pm, and she was still there. I asked why so late, and she was opening each file and saving it to the floppy (shows our age, doesn't it). I showed her how to go to File Manager (called at the time) and drag all of them to drive A. She was as excited as a kid! She'd drag that file over and another one over and just giggle at what she'd now learned to do! She thanked me forever for teaching her that, or she might still be opening files and saving each one individually! I will miss her presence on this earth!

I met Myra years ago when I first came to Converse College. She was a kind and dear person who will surely be missed. May God bless your family in this time of sorrow.

I met Dr. Martin when I came to work for District Six as an English teacher twenty-two years ago. She was a wonderful, bright person who inspired me with her love for English. My thoughts are with you all.
