Myles Dunn Obituary

It's officially been 17 years since you left us. I miss you terribly. I know realize how special you always were to me. I knew it then but should have said it out loud more often. You were a wonderful friend Myles, a wonderful loving best friend and your absence is felt throughout my whole life. This year marks a mile stone for us buddy, we were friends for 17 years and as of today, you've been gone for 17 years. I can't believe how much I still love you. Honestly you have shown me what lasting love looks like and I now know that love is eternal, love lives on when you leave, love is eternal and has no limits. I hope you're with Jeannie up in heaven and helping her as she and I are now separated as well. So many friends are in heaven, take care of them for me Mylo... I love you buddy. I will forever love and miss you my friend! Always your Terry ....

I went to your gravesite today and replaced the old flowers with new silk flowers. I sat there and spoke with you as if you were standing behind me, 16 years without you here seem so unreal. I love you more now than I remember loving you then, and we both know how much I loved you then. You have always been such a sweetheart and I know you would have enjoyed watching Wilder grow into this amazing young lady. Both my kiddos know you and know how much you mean to me. I have so many photos in the house of you and I.
You may have left us but I continue to love you from here. I listen to your favorite songs from 2009, Chicken Fried, Kings of Leon, and most of all I spent yesterday listening to I'll be missing you, that I played at your funeral service. It's hard to believe I have lived so much life since you passed away. I pray that you Always know I love you and I know I will see you again. Send me a sign from above! I love you buddy! Mylo I can´t believe it´s been 16 years since we lost you. This day always brings me back in time to the worst day of my life when I was told that I lost you...that day a part of me went with you. I know that it will help me find you in heaven when it´s my time to leave this earth. I think of you often and fondly remember your beautiful smile and how it would light up the room. Losing you changed me in so many ways, especially my outlook on life. I always think about our last conversation and how I wish I got to tell you what was in my heart...I truly feel it could have changed so much. I always think about how short life is and how we never know what our last words to someone will be. We should always let the people we love know how much we love them so when we or they leave this earth there will never be any doubt. I know you are watching over me and the boys and I still feel your presence in our lives. As you know, I´m happily married to a good and loving man ( you would have liked him, just like you like Shawn Sr) and the boys are each married with sons of their own. I know you are looking down at them and are so proud of the men, husband and fathers that they have become. What I wouldn´t give to have you back with us again and for both of us to be happy here on earth. Until we meet again, in my heart is where you stay.

Year after year, it doesn't get easier to admit I never truly got to say goodbye. To wake up to the news you were gone and my life would never be the same. I keep you alive and in my home with some of my favorite photos of you. I see your smile, always feel your love, and keep you close to my heart. I love you and miss your kindness, and encouragement. I wish you could have been a part of these last 10 years with me and my kids. I'm at the happiest point in my life and still feel a little broken without you, to see the joy my husband and kids bring me. You would have loved my life now. You'd be proud of me and proud of Wilder. You would have made an amazing God Father to my baby. I feel your love and presence. I feel that you are our guardian angel, that you are still with me, that you'd be right here beside me, telling me I was doing a great job, and that all my hard work was gonna be worth it. I can hear your voice and feel you in my life. Your love lives on and you are forever in our hearts. I am so happy that Maureen is still with you as well. I know how much the loss of a husband can hurt and I am glad to see she still has your love in her heart too. That's nothing less than you deserve. Time may have moved on but when you are as wonderful and loving as you, people don't forget. I hope you and your mom are at peace together and that she is with you again. She missed you terribly while she was still here and wasn't truly happy living without you. She was always your biggest fan, that must still be true in heaven.

Mylo, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. The day we met was one of the happiest days of our lives, I knew from the moment I saw you that I wanted to marry you. We had a lot of good times and some real bad times but nonetheless I married you and promised to love you through the good times and in the bad times, in sickness and in health and till death do us part. A part of me will always love you and no matter what happened in our past, all is forgiven. I know you are watching over the boys and I from Heaven and I thank you but I would give anything to have you here on earth with us. Until we meet again Mylo in my heart is where you live. What a Gentleman. Myles will be missed by all that he came in contact with. A pleasing personality that would light up a room. My heart goes out to all who had the opportunity to know Myles, we love you Sweetie, you'll always be in our hearts.

God has a purpose for everyone and everything, we may never know why or what it is but stay truthful to yourself and believe that he knows best. I will continue to pray for everyone, I am so sorry about your loss.

I only knew Myles a short time during Trident's play Werewolf's Curse, but it was a pleasure working with him. I share my thoughts and prayers for those who love him. May you find comfort and strength in the times to come.

The greatest legacy one can leave behind is the laughter from precious moments remembered...How can one person make so many feel as though they are the most important person in the world? I don't have the answer, but Myles did.

"Myles Man"- I can't even begin to say how my heart grieves for you buddy. I cherish the time we had together and the hours spent laughing. No one could ever make me so mad so fast, and then fix it with just a smile! I will carry your smile in my heart forever. My life is better just by having had you in it.

Miss Jillian- I pray that God will give you strength and comfort during this time of loss. May you find peace in knowing that Myles touched so many lives with his love, sweet spirit and quick laughter. He was an amazing person in every way.

Over the past year, Myles and I became very close friends through Phi Theta Kappa. So close... himself, Melissa, and I were often referred to as the triplets. I sit here finding it very hard to believe that we will not have him with us anymore. My first thoughts were that we are not through with you yet. With Myles we have been able to accomplish amazing things that would have never been possible without him. How will we ever be the same? But I know that God has bigger plans for him and that the impact that Myles has left on our entire organization will be forever lasting. Jillian, Myles spoke highly of you and for good reason. I did not directly know Myles, but my aunt considered him to be one of her dearest friends. He was familiar with most of my family (I live further away, and probably would have eventually met him)... and they all have spoken so well of him. His death has scared us all into remembering to keep those that we love very close to us. My mother called me to cry about Myles (and my grieving aunt, Melissa) and to tell me repeatedly how much she loves me. I hope Myles knew that he was loved too.

I met Myles at the age of 19 I can't believe it's been 11 years. He was someone who always made me feel good. He made me laugh alot. I don't think I ever saw him angry in all of the years I've known him. He will be missed. We were friends years ago, but with time and life there were years in between. But whenever I saw him it was like we just saw each other the day before. He always had a big hug for me. He will be missed. I pray that God wraps his loving arms around you during this time. I worked with Myles at Caterpillar he made the day fun,with jokes and a light hearted manor.Iam glad that our paths crossed and we were friends. God gives us memories and wonderful experences in our lifetime to show us how it will be when we all get to Heaven.

Myles was always there to help out with my school work. We took several business classes together and he was my partner or in my group in every project. He had a kind soul and always helped out in any way that he could. My thoughts and prayer go out to all of his family and friends who knew him better than I did. We will miss you and we will know that you are always in our hearts and watching down on us and leading us in the right path.

I met Myles once, but that one time left quite an impression of what a great guy he was! He was talked about often, and will always be remembered! My prayers are with the family, I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Myles while visiting from a sister Caterpillar facility in Mississippi. I and my coworkers here in Corinth are all shocked and saddened by his passing.

I didn't know Myles very well but the few times we did hang out,he seemed to be a great guy..We sure are going to miss you bro!!
