Morgan Swain Obituary

Morgan Linley Swain Charleston - A beautiful soul left this earth on August 7, 2021. Morgan shared this post with us and we feel it appropriate to share at this time. "PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: As of this very moment, I can no longer accommodate new clients because I AM MOVING. Ya girl is ready for the next phase in this life and in this career soooo yeah, that's what I'm doing. I've got so much love for everyone at Strawberry Blonde Salon and obviously Charleston living has been a real good time, HOWEVER... I want to do something different. That's it. No dramatic story or tear felt goodbye like I don't have a choice in the matter, because I most certainly do. Honestly the choice was simple: spread these wings and go do my thing ! Here's the tea, y'all... whether we like it or not, growth doesn't happen inside of our comfort zones and opportunities don't just com a'knockin' if you haven't even built the door, do you feel me? I learned that a long time ago. So yeah, I built a door a big one! And then a whole lotta opportunities knocked on it and now I get to go do cool stuff in a cool salon in a cool city. Like, I legit got to choose what sounded like the most fun! I had OPTIONS, y'all. It's that can't stop/won't stop energy... My last day at the salon is 9/16. Thanks to everyone who's been supportive of me along this journey, thanks to my clients for trusting me, thanks to Amanda for believing in me and thanks to Strawberry Blonde for being the perfect place for me to grow as a stylist and as a person!" Morgan Linley Swain, 32, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 7, 2021. Morgan's family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 1433 Battalion Drive James Island, SC at 7:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. Morgan was born June 21, 1989 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late David Gibson Swain and Jeannie Flowers Swain. She is survived by her mother, Jeannie Flowers Swain of Charleston, SC; sister, Lisa B. Johnson; brother, Andrew B. Swain; niece, Wrenn Johnson; and her best furry friend in the world, Franklin N. Beans A/K/A Dirty Joe Dirt. In addition to flowers, Morgan would have been moved by memorial donations made to: SC Chapters of Planned Parenthood, NORML, and commit Random Acts of Kindness even if you don't feel like it that day. Morgan walked through the doors of Paul Mitchell and brought with her , a smile, a talent, love for others, and blessed my life and many others throughout her journey. She made me a little promise that she would do my daughters hair and makeup for her wedding. Just a few weeks after she graduated she did just that . I will cherish my memories of Morgan forever. I am blessed to have had her in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who loved her .

I loved knowing Morgan for the last year and a half as a client. She was talented and so kind. She always took her time and we enjoyed all types of conversations. She told me she was moving and while I would miss her, I was excited for her new opportunity. She will sorely be missed in Charleston as well as among her many friends.

Jeannie, I was so shocked and saddened to hear the news of Morgan. She was such a sweet, true blue, free spirit. She played a major role in getting Leslie through her loss of Max. A true friend. My heart aches for your loss. You remain in my prayers. Hang in there my friend. Love you! Chris...

Jeanie, we send our deepest condolences to you and family. Though Andrea and I never had the chance to meet Morgan, I know from her on-line presence and how you spoke of her that we truly missed someone special. Her upbeat 'heygirl' words of encouragement for her clients and her commanding view of her own life are inspiring, they make me want to spread some love in my little neighborhood. I pray that you can take comfort in knowing that Morgan was a strong, confident and beautiful soul.

All our love,
Gary and Andrea

Morgan was always inspiring people to be better humans. The way she was caring and kind with an ability to see through someone´s downfalls and find their beauty. She was one of those people that had the ability to make a difference in someone´s life by simply being a good human, the way more of us should be. We lost a beautiful compassionate soul. Sending thoughts and hugs to her family and many friends.
