Morgan Price Obituary

Morgan Price CHARLESTON - Obituary for Emily Morgan Price Emily Morgan Price, 39, of Hanahan, SC, left her earthly home to be with her Savior in Heaven on Sunday, September 22, 2024. She was born on May 21, 1985, in Charleston, SC, to loving parents Kim Walls (Bruce) and Barry Price (Jae). Morgan graduated from Wando High School and attended Trident Technical College, where she studied art and childcare, pursuing her passions with enthusiasm. She was currently employed at Harris Teeter, where her customers knew her well and loved seeing her. Her kindness and warm smile brightened the days of both customers and coworkers. The name Morgan means "by the sea," the perfect name for this beautiful young woman as she grew up spending time on the beach and loved collecting shells and enjoying the ocean. Quiet and unassuming, Morgan was an "angel unawares," bringing joy to those around her. She was happiest when she was with her beloved cats, Toobie, Pawley, and Gibbs, or spending time with her "best" dog friends, Circe Blu and Iris. She loved her pets immensely, and this love spread to everyone she knew. Morgan also cherished her lifelong friendships and had a special relationship as "Aunt" to Ethan, with whom she relished spending time. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, making several trips to the Bahamas with her relatives, going to Italy with her brother, Andrew, and mom, and traveling to Switzerland, Italy, and France with her mom this past summer. Morgan adored sunflowers, and one of her happiest moments on her latest trip to France was when she found a beautiful field of sunflowers to explore. Morgan's infinite love for her "Mommy," and Kim's unfaltering support throughout her daughter's life is a testament to the unbreakable bond they shared. Mother and daughter were best friends who drew strength and encouragement from each other daily. Morgan is survived by her parents, Kim Walls (Bruce) and Barry Price (Jae); her brothers, Andrew and Carson; her grandmother, Bonnie McElmoyl Goggans; and aunts, uncles, and cousins who dearly loved this sweet young woman. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles L. Price and JuddyBrowning Price; her maternal grandfather, Albert Max Goggans;her Aunt, Linda; and her first cousin, Erin. Though her time with us was far too short, Morgan's endearing smile and infectious giggle remain with us always, and we will cherish the special memories we have of this precious daughter, sister and friend forever. A memorial service will be held on October 12th at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 413 Geddes Avenue, Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall across from the church sanctuary at 1:00 pm with the service following in the church at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MoyaMoya Foundation or Pet Helpers.

To Kim and family: I knew Morgan as a young child when I lived on James Island and had the opportunity to spend time with her. She was always a sweet girl and full of love and laughter. I absolutely love the recent picture of her in the field of sunflowers. She is shining down upon us now with that beautiful smile. I will always think of her when I see a beautiful sunflower. You are not alone in your sorrow.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Morgan as the Customer Service Manager at the Ben Sawyer location of Harris Teeter. Morgan expressed her joy in vacationing international with her family; sharing pictures. She loved her family! I am happy working for DELTA afforded me the opportunity to see Morgan after leaving Harris Teeter. I am certain her death has left a void at Harris Teeter. Sleep in peace Morgan!

We met when she was in the 9th grade, I asked if I could sit with her at lunch and from then on we were inseparable. She was my best friend, we were like sisters. She became an aunt to my son and she loved him like no other, she was like a second mom to him. She brought so much laughter and love into everyone´s life. She loved her cats and we often joked about her being a crazy cat lady. I would give up everything just to see her smile again or to hear her laugh again. We did everything together from traveling, shopping, and eating out. Me and Ethan will miss her so much. Thank you MorMor for being my best friend and for being the best aunt ever to my son...we will never forget you and we will always love you.

Morgan and I met in 8th grade. I will never forget how nice she was to me when we met on the school bus. She was always there for my kids and I. She adored them. She always had a smile on her face. She was so sweet and never hurt a soul. I´m blessed to have known her. She will be highly missed and never forgotten.

I was Morgan's manager at Harris Teeter when she first started working on Houston Northcutt location. I remember how she loved all customers and especially her regulars. She always made it a point to visit me at other HT locations after I left the Mt. Pleasant location. It wasn't something she HAD to do...but she wanted to do. This says alot about her kindness and thoughtfulness. I am blessed to have known her.
