Monica Marie Sonnenberg Charleston - Monica Marie Sonnenberg, 56, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Philip Sonnenberg, entered into eternal rest Friday, October 22, 2021. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021, in The Church at LifePark, 1151 George Browder Blvd., at 10:00 am with a visitation one hour prior. Entombment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends Friday, October 29, 2021, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Monica was born August 3, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of Ronald Budd and Schearl Daniels Budd. She married Philip on February 3, 2001, in Sunbury, OH. Monica loved playing with her grandchildren and spending time walking on the beach. She was a social butterfly that never met a stranger. Her kind nature extended to others whenever possible, and she loved volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. Her infectious smile could light up a room bringing great joy to everyone she met. She is survived by her husband, Philip Sonnenberg of Charleston, SC; son, Cody A. Campbell (Emily) of Charleston, SC; daughter, Erica A. Lynn (Christopher) of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren, Logan Campbell, Audrey Campbell, Andi Campbell, Hudson Campbell, and Amelia Lynn; father, Ronald Budd of Conway, SC; mother, Schearl Budd of Charleston, SC; sister, Ronda Spangler (Thomas) of Columbus, OH; and she has one grandchild on the way.
