Mildred Smith Obituary

SMITH, Mildred LEESVILLE, SC - Mildred Randolph Smith, 87, of Leesville, SC, died February 28, 2005, at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, March 7, 2005, at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg. Rev. L. Howard Maltby will officiate. Burial in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg. THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., in Orangeburg, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Smith, widow of Albert Ruffin Smith, was born in Lemax, SC. She was the daughter of the late Richard D. and Adella Andrews Randolph. She was retired from the South Carolina Employment Security Commission. She was preceded in death by brothers, Creary Randolph, John H. Randolph, and Richard Randolph, Jr., and sisters, Virginia Randolph Rose and Ruby Randolph Bowie. Survivors include two children, Albert Randolph Smith of Columbia, SC, Anne Randolph of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren, Albert Randolph Smith II and wife Laura of Charlotte, NC; Allan Holcombe Smith and wife April of Columbia, SC; Mrs. R. Michael (Ruffin) Campbell, II and husband Mike of Columbia, SC; five great-grandchildren, Albert Randolph Smith III of Charlotte, NC, Cameron Elizabeth Smith of Charlotte, NC, John Nash Smith of Columbia, SC; Michael Rhodes Campbell of Columbia, SC, and Marie Riley Campbell of Columbia, SC; one nephew, and one niece. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 6, 2005, from 3 to 5 p.m. at THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., in Orangeburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O.
