To Allison, Moot's granddaughter; Moot's daughter, Ellen; Moot's daughter Kathy and her family; and Moot's sons Bill and Tom and their families:

We are very sorry for the loss of your beloved grandmother and mother, Mildred (Moot) Santos.

It has always been apparent to us that Moot dearly loved her family members.

She was a loving grandmother of Allison, our niece.

Moot had a very special relationship with Allison, who lived with Moot for quite some time in the family home in Mount Pleasant. Grandmother and granddaughter helped each other a great deal: Moot was supportive of Allison's pursuit of professional training and an undergraduate degree; on the other hand, Allison was supportive of Moot while she was recovering from surgery and dealing with other health concerns. They enjoyed each other's company and were committed to one other, showing that they loved each other very much.

We are grateful that Allison had the opportunity to deepen her relationship with her grandmother and other extended family members by living with Moot in South Carolina. We're sure that Moot very much enjoyed the time that Allison spent with her in recent years.

We know that Moot will be greatly missed by Allison and all other family members and friends,

Everyone is in our thoughts and prayers,

Ingrid and David Holm
