Mildred Perry Bowers HANAHAN - Mildred Perry Bowers, 96, widow of Robert Hugh Bowers, Sr., formerly of Seabrook, SC, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Heartland of Charleston in Hanahan, SC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00pm at Hopewell Baptist Church in Adams Run, SC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 2:00pm in Hopewell Baptist Church in Adams Run with burial in Hopewell Baptist Churchyard. Mrs. Bowers was born on June 3, 1919 in Osborne, SC. She is the daughter of Robert A. Perry and Sarah Weeks Perry. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a homemaker. Surviving are one daughter, Faye Williams (George) of Ravenel, SC; four sons, Robert H. Bowers, Jr. (Pat) of Hanahan, SC; Jerry M. Bowers (Joliene) of Goose Creek, SC; Perry M. Bowers (Leanna) of Gilman, Iowa and James O. Bowers (Ann) of Gray Court, SC; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sons, Douglas and Ronald Bowers; one grandson, Shane Bowers and two sisters, Vivian P. Canaday and Thelma P. Garvin. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church, 6869 Parkers Ferry Rd., Adams Run, SC 29426. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
