Mildred Arrington Obituary

Mildred H. Arrington CHARLESTON - Mildred H. Arrington passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in Charleston, SC. Born on September 22, 1916, in Thomasville, GA, daughter of Effie and Simeon Harris. She was the youngest of 6 sisters and lived most of her life in Oakland, FL She married William Sidney Arrington in 1940 and together, they raised two sons. She was a devoted wife, mother, and was strong in her Christian faith. An avid golfer and a duplicate bridge player, she also volunteered for the town, election polls, community clothes closet, and delivered meals on wheels. She was a loving grand and great grandmother. Mildred is survived by her son, Charles H. Arrington (Judy); daughter-in-law, Doris; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, William S. Arrington Jr.; her five sisters; her son, William S Arrington III; and a granddaughter, Pamela Kristen Arrington. Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm on May 14, 2022, at the Oakland Presbyterian Church, Oakland, FL. Graveside will be family members only.
