Michael Pinello Obituary

Michael Pinello JOHNS ISLAND - Mr. Michael Pinello, 87, of John's Island, SC passed onto the next life peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Michael went into the US Army in 1943 and came out in 1944, he also was a US National Guard from 1956 until 1959. Later in life he retired from being a steel mill worker from Pittsburgh, PA. He was a person that was a handy man of all trades, including daycare daddy, painter, carpenter, church custodian and a Wal-Mart greeter. Michael possessed a joyful soul and a childlike wonder of life. He did not often have the words to express his feelings but they were evident in his glance, his smile and the care he took of those around him. He lived simply by one credo... work hard and be honest. He did and he was. He was and always will be well loved and missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Gladys of 65 years, his children: James A. Pinello, David M. Pinello (Stephanie) and Tammy McAdory (Roy), grandchildren, Joy Pinello Smith and Ryan Pinello (Cheryl) and seven great grands. He is predeceased by his twin brother, Nicholas. The Funeral Service will take place 11:30am at Walker's Mortuary Chapel. Chaplain Ann Rutledge will bring Words of Comfort. The family will welcome family and friends immediately after the service from 12 Noon until 2 PM at Johns Island Presbyterian Church Hall, 2550 Bohicket Road, John's Island, SC. Michael enjoyed his weekly program provided by this wonderful program, or Karen's K9's, an all breed rescue, no-kill shelter, because he loved his little dog Buddy, who was a rescue.
