Everything you wrote about Michael was true and more. I enjoyed his company and friendship at St.Veronica Parish and the Knights of Columbus. He was very generous to his priests and quite helpful to me in organizing pilgrimages to the Holy Land. Peggy, I wish you the best and know that you will receive support from your may friends at St.Veronica and elsewhere and from Michael i ways you have not yet experiences. God bless you.

We always enjoyed our time visiting Peggy, Michael and family in Virginia and in later years South Carolina. Michael was always eager to show his latest gadgets to us. Our trips around the South Island of New Zealand were also full of good times and memorable moments, eg the day his hat was bought (the one in the photo) a product of a visit to Lyttelton, a seaside/port suburb of Christchurch. His humor and dry wit will also be sorely missed. Rest in peace Michael. Bill and family, Christchurch NZ.

Peggy and family, please accept my deepest condolences.
Mike’s faith-filled witness was an inspiration to so many. His leadership within the St. Veronica parish community was a quiet gift to all.
I’m grateful for witnessing and learning from his example of devotion and Mike’s many commitments to the Catholic fraternity.
Thank you Mike, rest well in the serenity and love of our Father.

Michael Diewald, PGK, worked tirelessly as a Knight of Columbus at St. Veronica parish in Chantilly, VA. His leadership set the Council for success. He will be remembered in our prayers. This news was heartbreaking for me.
