Michael Chance Obituary

CHANCE, Michael Michael Dwayne Chance, 39, of 1299 Rockfish Court, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29466, died Friday, April 16, 2005, after an illness. Memorial service will be Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at 5 p.m., at Fellowship Baptist Church, 898 Pickett Level Road, Elloree, S.C. Visitation will be Monday, April 18, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m., at FOGLE-HUNGERPILLER FUNERAL HOME IN ELLOREE, S.C. Pastor John Salazar will officiate at the memorial service. Mr. Chance was born in Orangeburg, S.C., September 11, 1965, a son of L.C. and Joan Jones Chance. He was owner and operator of "Top This" Upholstery Company. He was a member of Seacoast Church of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Chance was an avid fisherman and participated in the King Mackerel Tournament Circuit and was a member of the Southern King Fish Association and the Coastal Conservation Society. He was a hunter and former member of the Community Hunting Club in Elloree. Survivors include his parents, L.C. and Joan Jones Chance of Elloree; one sister, Mrs. James (Debbie) Ballou, Bowman, S.C.; two nephews, Jason and Evan Ballou; grandparents, Thomas B. Jone, Sr., St. Matthews, S.C., and the late Mamie Wiles Jones; step-grandmother, Allison H. Jones, Elloree, and the late Levi and Roselee Chance, Holly Hill, S.C.; and a special companion and friend, Cheryl Mathis.
