Linda, Lee, Catherine, and Shand,
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I was not aware earlier but please know that you're all in my prayers as you walk through this difficult time. I have fond memories of Mr. Bush and what a kind man he was. I remember well the lofts he built for Shand and me our freshman year at Clemson. His memory lives on through the lives he touched.
All my love,
Ann-Marie

What a wonderful person who will be missed dearly. Such a delight to meet family and be part of his care. I had the privilege of being one of his nurses.

Thoughts and prayers for this wonderful family. I had the honor of taking care of this fine gentleman at Roper St. Francis outpatient cancer center. I want to share a quote that I read over and over when I lost my Daddy.
"Don't ever discount the wonder of your tears. They can be healing waters and a stream of joy. Sometimes they are the best words the heart can speak."(Wm. P. Young)

Working with Mike on Charleston County 9-1-1 was one of the most fun parts of my time at BellSouth. He was a very special person, and the world is a sadder place without him. I used to imagine him enjoying his retirement - fishing, shrimping, and crabbing on Edisto.
Linda, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

I'll think of Uncle Michael every time I put bait to hook. So sad for his passing but glad to know he is in no pain. Looking forward to seeing all of the family today, to share in the love that surrounded him.

Your husband and father sounds like he was a pretty special man. I did not know him, and I'm sure that if I did, my life would have been enriched by knowing him. Our family has a house on Edisto, and I have very fond memories down there, and I can totally understand his love for that little island. My prayers to you and your family, and Mr. Bush will be on my mind every time we visit Edisto.

Mike was the most delightful, kind, caring, unselfish man ever. He is indeed in Heaven smiling down on us! Each time I cast the shrimp net, drop the crab basket into The Edisto Creeks, sink a hook to catch the biggest red drum, and find the oldest fossil, I will look into the Edisto sky and see his smiling face! He will be missed. My heart is sad! Our deepest sympathy and love to Linda and family.
