Dear Lynn and Family,

I was out of town and have just heard about Mervin's passing.

In many of my conversations with Lynn, it was obviously how much in love she was with this very special man. He was a treasure who will be missed.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Rabinowitz Family

My mother Irene and I were out of town and when we returned heard of your loss. Please feel free to contact us if you need anything. Mervin will always be remembered by our family with a particular special fondness. My father, Philip, had he been around this month, would be deeply saddened and I write in this book for him as he would have wanted me to. I know he cared for Mervin a great deal. I was so glad that Mervin and Lynn were able to attend many special events in our family as well as the whole Charleston family. He introduced my parents Irene and Philip back in 1958 and I used to tease him that if not for him, my sister Elyse and I would never have been born. He will be very missed. Love, Irene, Wendy and Elyse Garfinkel (PS We had so many wonderful summers and memories with the Rabinowitz family on the beach on Sullivan's Island, Charleston)

I'm so very sorry to hear the news...Mervin was a close friend of my father Sam Rosen growing up on St. Phillip's St. in Charleston, and I had many occasions to meet him and the family. Beth and I were friends from NCSY and I'd like to wish her and the entire family my deepest condolences. May his memory serve as a blessing to all of you.
