Mercedes and my late husband, Matthew, worked together at London Hair. The first thing I think about Merce besides being such a wonderful friend to my husband and I was her laugh. It was THE BEST! She always had great stories and was just so damn fun to be around! I had not seen her in awhile but she would periodically check on me after my husband passed away. She was so sweet and thoughtful. I just loved her so! I like to think she's up there with Matt just laughing and having some good ole fashion fun! My love and sympathies goes out to all of her family and friends. She will be missed.

Dear Mercedes, Ill always remember that last time I stopped by your house. You were in a rush to pick Liam up to go to big truck smash up? Just what he would love. You yelled to Nick to come say hello. He gave me a big sweet hug. Then you told Nick to tell me all about Hunter, his little boy. Always time for a story and a hug, even though you were in a rush to go. Well miss you! Just never enough time! Love, your big sister, Eileen

I am sending condolences to all of Mercedes' family. I can only imagine how much you miss such a wonderful soul. Merce took care of my hair for many years. She was just the best combination of
funny, loving, compassionate and curious. She had a great sense of adventure. She always spoke of all of her family with such love and pride. She never knew a stranger and would lend a hand to help out anyone in need. She left us too young. If there is to be a memorial, at a later date, please put it in the Paper. I know that so many will want to attend.

Mercedes was more than my sister she was my friend. She would drop whatever she was doing to help someone in need. Over the years she helped me when my husband and children were sick. She volunteered for hospice going to homes to cut people hair who couldn't get out of their beds. She worked hard and loved to travel. Hairdresser don't get paid if they don't work and usually don't have insurance. She did the best she could and loved what she did. She was great at making people feel good about themselves .Mercedes loved her children more than anything else. She was the most caring and giving woman I knew. She was like my mom and she opened her door to anyone who needed shelter. I wish her grandchildren were able to know her loving spirit. God gained a Angel

My Aunt Merce was a wonderful person who treated everyone right and always made you feel at home wherever she was. She had a calming and welcoming presence that would just simply help ease your everyday burdens. My family and I will truly miss her. She was taken from us all far too soon. We love you Aunt Merce.
