Melvin Rohling Obituary

Rohling, Melvin John - Devoted Husband Exceptional Father, Grandpa, Brother Age 76, of White Bear Lake died March 3, 2005. Born in St. Cloud. He served in the Navy Hospital Corps. Graduated St. John's University. Mel had a successful 38 year career at A.H. Robins in pharmaceutical sales and sales management. His interests include post-graduate classes at the U of M in Greek and Roman history and classical literature. He was also an avid photographer and gourmet cook. Preceded in death by his wife and love of 51 years, Anita; sisters, Ramona Rohling and Irma Sauer. Survived by children Linda (Ron) Zappa, Jeffrey (Sara) Rohling, Jane (Paul) Murphy and Roberta (Brad) Peters; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers Donald (Lorraine), Bud (Marie) and Carl Rohling; sister Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) O'Brien. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Monday at ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 835-2nd Ave. NW, New Brighton. Visitation 2-6PM Sunday at HOLCOMB-HENRY-BOOM, 515 Hwy 96 at Mackubin, Shoreview (651-482-7606) and at the church on Monday beginning at 10AM. Interment in St. John's Cemetery. Memorials to St. John's Church and the Pillars Hospice.
