I miss you forever and always mommy. I don't quite know how you almost effortlessly conquered being the most incredible, beautiful, strong, passionate woman, and the best at everything especially motherhood! What I would give to hug you once more, and smell your familiar scent, while hearing that contagious laugh of yours... I'd trade it all for that. Your grandson is 3 and ½ and so precious, naughty, but loving. He knows that you are in the beautiful sky out there and unfortunately, that a truck took you away- but now you're always with us watching over everything we do. I love you and I miss you mom, more than you could ever imagine. Our house burnt down to nothing but the brick foundation on the 10th of January this year. I'm devastated because I had your wedding dress, every salvaged card and picture, gift I was able to hold onto from you over the years, all just taken away in an instance, much like you had been some 13+ years ago, all over again. Soot and memories. But the memories I have of you are far more precious and forever secured in my heart, never to be taken away from me. I love you and I cannot wait to see you again one day. Beautiful beloved angel, your sunshine misses you.

I love and miss you TERRIBLY so. Not a single day goes by that you aren't a great part of. I know that you are there watching over your unborn grandson and I throughout this miracle of a pregnancy. He should be here near yours and daddy's anniversary, what would have been 41 years ago. I love and miss you and thank God for the wonderful life you gave every one of us. And I know that the best parts of me come from you. Ten years later and I am still not the same and I find myself looking for you and anticipating your arrival at any point. I love you FOREVER and always mommy and I pray that heaven is amazing and beautiful with endless laughter, dancing, and music, surrounded by love, friends, and family. You deserve the best that life and thereafter could ever offer. I will be seeing you again someday I know. I love you and I will try to stay strong in this journey of life. Love always, your "sunshine"...

I love to come here, to read these messages from the past few years. She was truly a wonderful woman, that will be greatly missed, to have had such an impact on so many people. I remember the funeral, how many people there were. It seemed like hundreds of them had come to pay respect. It's how we live our lives, that tells the impact we will have even after we're gone. A remarkable thing, and a wonderful woman, so full of love. She touched everyone she met. She loved her family and friends. She would help anyone out, even if it meant giving someone the coat off of her back. You'll be missed, Melody.

To my beautiful, beloved, heroic, unconditionally loved & forever missed -- angelic mother, best friend, and saving grace:
I still think about you just as much as ever. I've learned over the last half decade + 10 months that the unbearable heartache that results from such a tragic loss, never lessens nor goes away. We all just tend to do all that we possibly can to stay busy while attempting to move in a forward & positive direction (in regards to ourselves & our lives); all the whilst, in efforts to make you proud of us--even still. However, I'm still overtaken by this tremendously painful void that can only be mended by way of a mother's passionate & unconditional love, her nurturing tendencies, and gentle, comforting ("everything is going to be alright") touch-- for her daughters. I love and miss you more with each and every passing day. Your grandbabies know all about you my sweet mother. You have another grandson on the way in July :). I can't wait to tell him all about his sweet, angelic MelMas in the sky as I have with Phoenix. I love and miss you beautiful angel of mine. Your sunshine awaits to see you again. Until then, I'll hold onto all of our unforgettable memories filled with joyful happiness and laughter. I miss you sweet mother and best friend. I'll be seeing you again real soon. At least in my dreams I hope. Xoxo I love you and sweetdreams mommy!
LOVE ALWAYS,

Hey sweetie-This is your baby sister communicating with you. I love and miss you very very much. It has been five years to the day since that horrible morning when you were taken from us. We were all sad, mad and angry back then. Today we are still sad that you are no longer with us physically, but we all know that you are with us spiritually.
I told you five years ago I would see you real soon. Spiritually I see you almost every day, but I have not yet joined you in the kingdom of heaven. Please save us all a place. I cannot wait to see the real you again. Five years is a long time.
By the way, happy 56th birthday, belated. As you know by now, with your birthday and death day so close together, I choose to communicate with you on the latter day. I hope everyone in heaven sang happy birthday to you. I am sure that it was really beautiful.
I am getting ready to listen to the song we danced to by the gazebo that one night that seems so long ago. Do you remember the song? It was too close by Next. I feel like reminiscing. We had such a good time that night. I love and miss you so much, Mel. Always remember this, okay? Until I see you again, all my love, your sister, Sandra.

Sweet, perfect, beautiful, missed, irreplaceable guardian angel mother of mine:
Not 1 single day goes by that doesn't feel empty due to the hole left when you went to heaven. I'm trying my hardest to find my way through this challenging and struggling journey of "life"... I can't help but wonder what we would be doing if you were physically still here right now...Getting ready for our old sunday night family dinners? Sitting on the gazebo, unwinding, spending time with our unconditionally loving family. Watching you and dad look eachother in the eyes, still so in love over 3 decades later? Dancing & laughing the night away, wishing it would never end... But nothing but love seems to last forever. I am going to make you proud mommy. Just bare with our family AND ESPEC
IALLY MYSELF when the going gets tough and we need our bestfriend, one of a kind remarkable mother to help our compassionate, and somewhat lost yet strong and incredible father to help guide us through life's obstacles in order to fulfill our potential. Here's a little update beautiful mother:
You have the perfect nephew to watch over :)...His name is phoenix and he too is perfect! He helps mask the everyday hurt and pain we were all left with the day our everything left this earth far too soon... You also have a niece named Piper on the way:)...She will be lovely! I know angel and reesie need your love, passion, guidance, and experienced knowledge to help them raise their families but in a sense, you are a great part of their successfulness in doing so. Dad is doing a wonderful job at parenting but he needs friendship and guidance as well. He's so lost and you see this huge empty void whenever you look into his eyes... I'll help him find his way back to happiness. You are happiness and we will all see you again one day :)...Angel got a job at goodwill and starts this week! we are all so proud of her. Sissy left her old job and works fulltime at the plant nursery where i clean at on mondays... she's doing great for herself. She always has. Reesie too has a beautiful family and house, and daughter on the way. As for myself, i JUST GOT my job back at hooters last week! I still rememeber what you said the night i applied there back in 2006 when i called and asked if you'd be disappointed and you quickly and laughingly replied "but baby, you don't have any hooters" tehe and i then said mom, it's aboutthe personality! :). I love and miss you dearly and you're such a big part of me and who i am today. I hope youre being taken care of wherever you are mommy. I hope to see you in my dreams soon! I love you so much. We all miss you like crazy!!!!

Hey sis-Today marks the three year mark of the day you were killed in a motor vehicle accident. They say time heals all wounds. I wouldn't word it exactly this way, but time does have a way of teaching us to accept the things we have no power to change. Honey, I love and miss you so much. Thank you for being my sister for 51 years. Thank you for all the things you taught me while we were growing up. Thank you for just being you. You have been truly missed on this earth, but I know I will see you again real soon. You were an inspiration to so many people. Until we meet again, happy 54th birthday belated. I love and miss you so much. Take care and save a place for me in heaven. I love you honey. Bye for now.

Hey sis-This may not be the appropriate place to write this, but it seems appropriate to me. Happy birthday, sis. We love and miss you so much. Do you remember your last birthday when I called to say happy birthday to you, and you said you were wondering if you were going to have to call and remind me again. You didn't have to call and remind me. I didn't forget. It's hard to believe less than 60 hours after the time you were brought into this world, god found a reason to take you out of this world. We do not understand the why of any of it, but we have no choice but to accept what is. I miss you so much, sis. Do you remember the night on your gazebo in your back yard when we were listening to the song too close by Next. We started dancing like sisters, and Wilson said something in the line of two sisters getting along so well. To this day, every time I hear that song, I crank it up and go back to that night. I love you, Mel, and I miss you so very very much. Happy Birthday, sweetie. Till we meet again-Sisters forever

Dear Soleena,
I think of you and your family every time I pass the memorial site for your mom on N. Rhett. My heart aches for all of you knowing this is a lifelong void in your lives. It won't hurt as bad in years to come. That sense of loss never goes away although it will finally become a sense of wistfulness for what might have been. Please know that there are so many people who care and pray for you and all who knew and loved your mom. It is never easy to lose the ones we love and a senseless tragedy is especially difficult.
Your Sunshine/Neenie/Soleena

Dear Mom,
I'm sorry I've waited so long to write on here. I just randomly found it online as I searched for your name on the internet. I am balling my eyes out right now. I feel more lost than ever. Life wasn't supposed to be this hard. It's hard to call this "life" without "Mom". I don't know what to call this place I'm in actually. I miss you dearly. I think about you every moment of the day. We all miss you and love you and we're waiting for you to come home. I had a dream about you last week. You finally came home. You were so sad when you saw what we've all gone through without you. You were actually on the computer reading everything we've written you and to people about losing you. You heard all the voicemails we've left on your phone and you read all of the texts. You were crying with your head in your arms at the computer desk in disbelief of how hard life has been. You apologized for leaving us. I'm bursting into tears again. I woke up after that. You were still gone. Life is so unfair. I want you back. I want to take your place. It just isn't fair. I love and miss you forever and always.

I was deeply saddened when I heard of Melody's passing away. I grew up on her street in Sedgefield and can never forget her sweet dancing eyes and gorgeous smile. Melody is a true Diva that I always admired, respected and wished I could be more like. All through high school I can remember Melody's toe ring, easy going spirit, infectious laugh and sheer beauty. She was a force for all the girls to be reckoned with. I can honestly say that Melody's entire family has always strived to give back to the community in any possible way and I know we will all embrace them now. Mr Kasten has worked on every car we have ever owned and Mrs Kasten was the neighborhood Avon lady who shared her love and baked goods with everyone. I did not hear of Melody's passing until after the funeral and I am sad I was not able to pay my last respects to her and her family. I pass her memorial everyday on my way to and from work and I hate the sadness my heart feels. I am done crying now and find comfort in knowing that Melody is smiling down on her family and pray they grow stronger each day. Love Always, Audrey Johnson and ....

There are people in life who we admire and strive to some day be like. We set goals in hopes of accomplishing them and becoming successful like that person we admire. My aunt Mel was and is my definition of "successful". A career, a loving husband, 4 beautiful children, a nice home, and a great personality..who wouldn't admire this? My aunt was full of love and even if you didn't know her personally, you'd know she was very loving and caring. I can remember so vividly spending time with her and my cousins at shortstay, going to the cookouts at her house, walking around the neighborhood picking at the ice cycles attached to the mailboxes, jumping on the trampoline, and so much more. She was there when my mom was facing struggles in her life and she never turned my brothers, my sister, and I down. My only regret is not being able to visit her and talk to her for almost 2 hours on her birthday like i did on July 11th, 2008. I love her and miss her and to my cousins and uncle, you guys are in my prayers.

To all who have been affected by the passing of Melody. This is truly a very sad time. But what a wonderful person she was.We all live with-in our circles and don't always have the ability to see outside of it. Melody is my oldest sister and I know the joy she brought to my life. When I saw her smile, I knew she could light up the darkest room. When I heard her laugh the world seemed to be a much happier place. I enjoyed all our many conversations together. She had the gift of making people feel better about themselves with so little effort. So this past weekend I got to see outside of Melody's circle. She meant so much to me, but that was just a fraction of what she meant to the rest of the people that were part of her life. As I watched person after person pay there respects, I was so very inspired at the masses. What a great testimony to the life of a wonderful person. I love Melody so much, and my heart aches to know she is absent from my life. But it rejoices to know there is a GOD in Heaven and that she is with HIM now. I love you Sis, See you in GOD'S time.

Melody Wilson was my one and only sister. While we had our ups and downs, she was one of the greatest sisters anyone could ever ask for. She was a very caring and giving individual. This is a very difficult time for all of us, so please continue to keep us all in your prayers. Most of the comments I have read today are really wonderful. Thank you guys so very very much. While we are weeping and sad right now, we know God had his reasons for taking her away the way he did. We do not know what the reason is at the moment, but I guess we will know it somewhere in time. Thanks again for all the sweet comments I have read here today. Melody Wilson was and is a very beautiful person. She may not be with us personally, but we know she is with us spiritually. Sis, I love you so very very much. Please take care until we meet again. Love ya

Dear Dennis, Mary, Pete, and entire Wilson Family,
May God receive Melody for her final reward!!! I pray this helps the family some wee bit...to allow... enable…the grief! So truly sorry to hear about this...right after just havin’ met Dennis ‘n’ Mary while here in CT to bury Dennis’ mom! Offerin’ y’all a very special prayer...that Christ, in His Most Tender Mercy, hold y’all close and give you the strength y’need to get through this tryin’ ‘n’ tragic time!
When my mother died, even after a years-long battle with cancer, I was shattered by the loss…inconsolable…she was my mentor! BUT, "If your faith assures you she's in heaven, then what are the tears all about?!?" I hold an eternity with my God a hard-fought-for, cherished and precious prize, but, in the interim, the answer lies below.
SELFISH TEARS
(I Eulogize My Beloved Mother - Ray Hamilton ? March 19, 1989)
Today we cry...must admit they're selfish tears.
You see...our faith assures your journey's done.
But it's not for you we mourn, at all, my dear;
It's for those of us you've left behind...alone!!!
We share your joy...share your happiness at rest,
Your painful fears now for forever stilled.
You've fought the good fight, passed the final test,
But you've left behind a hole that can't be filled!!!
So, until we each rejoin you some someday,
And, while your memory buoys us through those years,
We'll miss you...but continue on our way,
And, from time to time, we'll cry our selfish tears!!!
Our sincerest condolences...heartfelt prayers...

To the family of Melody:
I don't know you all by name, but I do remember Angelique from her time as a teller with SCFCU. My heart sank deeply when I learned that it was your mom in the car accident that morning. Death is one of the hardest parts of life, and it is unfortunate that your family is going through this. There is obviously nothing that anyone can say to bring Mrs Melody back, but I do pray that you will find peace amidst it all. Your family will be in my prayers. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal, trust that she is in a more beautiful place.
Take care and be strong for her, as hard as it may seem, live life like she wanted you to and remember to stick together.
Her memories will live on with each of you I am sure.

When I walked into that high school reunion, I was sure I wouldn't know a soul...right till Melody walked by. I said her name, she heard mine and we were back in business...just like that. As beautiful inside and out as she ever was, she warmly welcomed me right back into her life. One of the kindest most loving women I have ever met. Melody shared with everyone.
She was gracious, charming, funny, strong, funky, intelligent, compassionate and wise. Her dedication to her loving husband and 4 beautiful daughters was unparalleled. What a remarkable woman she was. She had many special gifts her family and friends were lucky enough to recieve.I count myself truly blessed to be among them.

My deepest sympathy and prayers ... Mel will always be remembered by me as a wonderful friend, an honest and true woman with a heart of gold. She was one of the most giving and loving people I have ever had the honor of calling friend. Mel loved her family deeply, and from that love she shared daily, her happiness with those around her. Mel's kindness, compassion and friendship will be missed. Her memory and love will always be here with us ... may we all keep and share a little of Melody's attitude and giving nature each and every day.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Mel was one of the kindess, sweetiest persons I have ever known. There was never a negative word that came from her mouth. She alway saw the positive in everything and everyone. She should be an inspiration to us all. I will pray for peace for the family and shed a blanket of calm over them during this time. Just know Mel loved ya'll more than anything and that was so apparent in her actions. Mel, I will miss you dearly.
