Mellany was an amazingly beautiful awesome lady. I met Mellany in 1972 on the campus of Claflin University. She befriended me and she had an ole soul. Way wiser then her years. She introduced me to her brother who became my husband. So you see God already knew about this connection before we did. She came from a beautiful family that embraced me with love. RIH my beautiful sister! I will never forget Mellany!

TO MELLANY'S FAMILY...I PRAY THAT GOD WILL GIVE YOU THE PEACE OF MIND AND STRENGTH DURING YOUR TIME OF BEREAVEMENT. UNDERSTANDING THAT GOD'S WILL WAS DONE, IT REMAINS SO HURTFUL TO LOSE A LOVED ONE. I MET MELLANY IN HOUSTON, TX WHERE WE WORKED FOR THE COMPANY THEN KNOWN AS SOUTHWESTERN BELL. DURING OUR TIME AS COWORKERS, WE BECAME REALLY GOOD FRIENDS. WE VACATIONED TOGETHER (BAHAMAS),WE COOKED (MACARONI & CHEESE) WE LAUGHED AND TALKED ABOUT EVERYTHING. AFTER SHE MOVED TO GEORGIA TO BE CLOSER TO FAMILY, I TRAVELED TO GEORGIA AND CLIMBED STONE MOUNTAIN. SHE WILL ALWAYS BE MY FRIEND. SO MANY MEMORIES...PRAYING FOR YOU ALL...

To Mellany's family. Words are just insufficient to express the influence Mellany had on me over the years. She took such a profound interest in everyone she knew, always there with a smile and her own special brand of authentic caring. She will be sorely missed. Her faith is your solace in knowing she is now in a better place.

We are all better for having known Mellany, if only for a short time and her presence will be missed. We have lost a friend, but God has gained another Angel.

Katrena & Family,
First know that earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.
Mellany lives on in precious memories, and in the mentioning of her name, and like Christ she lives and dwells forever in your hearts.
I pray for your Strength, Peace and total Dependence to Trust God during this Very Special Time, not of loss but Love.
You loved Mellany, but GOD LOVED and LOVES her best.
With My Love & Prayers.

My sincere sympathy to my extended loving family. Mellany was certainly one of God's favorites. She befriended me @ Claflin College in 1973. I was a long way from home and homesick. Freshman class she took me under her wing and I knew right from the start that God had put this special young lady in my life. I know that the "now-ness" of serving God is one of the most exciting aspects of living for God's honor roll. Mellany is safe now in the arms of God resting, rest my dear sister rest!

I worked with Mellany for several years at Executive Park while it was still BellSouth. She was a quiet, genteel southern lady and always ready with a smile. We shared stories of decorating for Christmas and how her mom went "all out" like I do during the holidays. She enjoyed being with her family during those special times so much!! What a wonderful Christmas she will have THIS YEAR as I believe she is in heaven now. My sincerest condolences to her family who will surely miss her, but must also be rejoicing that her suffering is over and she is at peace. I know your happy memories will sustain you as you endure this difficult time. May God give you His comfort and blessings. With warmest regards,

Mellany's sweet demeanor and beautiful smile will be sorely missed. I feel like I know the Brown family from all of Mellany's stories. You are all in my prayers. She was an angel in this world and now she awaits us in heaven. I was blessed to have known her and to have such wonderful memories of her. It is with deepest sympathy that I write this on behalf of her AT&T family.
