Melissa Galloway Obituary


GALLOWAY, Melissa Melissa Desiree Galloway, age 38, of Goose Creek SC died Tuesday, September 12th 2006 at a local hospital. Born in Willmington NC on January 25th 1968, she was the daughter of Diane Howell Croom, father Charles Richard Williams and step father Johnny Sellers. Melissa, her mother, and her brother, William H. Croom III, then relocated to Charleston SC where she attended North Charleston High School. While is Charleston SC, she was blessed with two other siblings: Samantha Baylock and Walter Rollins. She also attended Bonds Wilson where she met the love of her life, Darren Keith Galloway. Melissa and Darren met in September 1982 where they shared their good and bad times. They married in July 1985 and were blessed with one son: Keith Galloway. Melissa then relocated with her husband and child to Fort Hood Texas, where they had their second child: Lisa Desiree Galloway. They then relocated back to Charleston where they bought their first home and shared the great times together. She was then blessed with another sister: Iva J. Croom in which she shared life. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband: Darren Keith Galloway of Goose Creek SC; daughter: Lisa Desiree Galloway of Goose Creek SC; mother: Diane Howell Croom of Charleston SC; fathers: Charles Richard Williams and Johnny Sellers of Willmington NC; sister: Samantha (Sammy) Baylock; two brothers: Walter L. Rollins III (Bubba) of Charleston SC and William H. Croom III (Billy) of Goose Creek SC; three sisters in law: Iva J. Croom of Goose Creek SC, Sharon Galloway and Lashonda Galloway of Brooklyn NY. She also leaves four grandchildren: Deanna Galloway of Goose Creek SC, Camren Galloway (not yet born), Jay Shawn Galloway and Julian Galloway; two nephews: Demond Baylock and Kelvin Bailey of Charleston SC; one loving aunt: Barbara Britt of Wilmington NC; one adopted daughter: Roxy Uibel of Goose Creek SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, neices, nephews, friends, and adopted children. She is our Angel that was lifted in the sky to meet the father in his kingdom on high. She will be missed by all. Funeral will be at 2:30 PM Sunday, September 17th 2006 at, Carolina Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7113 Rivers Ave. North Charleston SC 29406. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 16th 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family is accepting floral tributes in Mrs. Galloway's honor.
