Legacy of the work Senator Washington continues to be remembered. He paved the way for Johns Island Community and all over the Lowcountry to receive improvements and recognitions. (Sea Island Comprehensive Health Care, Johns Island Rural Housing just to name a few)

My condolences and prayers to the family. I remember spending nights at the Washington´s home. They treated me like a daughter. You always called me your girl every time you saw me. You and Mrs. Washington helped with getting me a scholarship at JC. Smith. You will truly be missed

For some time now, I would think of you Ms. Beulah and your husband, and say a prayer because I Loved and cared about the two of you. My heart goes out to you and your family for your loss, But so Thankful that Rev. Washington is now God´s gain! He was a Servant of God for sure, and a man that we could all look up to for guidance and the truth of the matter! What an Awesome Soldier he was in The Army of The Lord!
