I was saddened to read of Ezell's death. He was a wonderful doctor and a special friend. He took care of his patients like they were family. I first met him when he was a resident at the VA Hospital and told him I would be his first patient when he went into private practice and I was one of his first. Being selfish, I didn't want him to move to Florida but knew he wanted to move on. He will always be remembered as a fine doctor and good friend.

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Cline. When I first moved to Charleston and was working for WCBD-TV, I came down with a terrible case of asthmatic bronchitis. I had no doctor and Dr. Tiller from Spartanburg, (my former dr. when I worked there) referred me to Dr. Cline. Dr.Cline stepped in immediately, put me in the hospital (for 3 weeks) and I feel, saved my life! He was wonderful and I was never so heartbroken when I got the call that he was closing his practice in Charleston and moving. I thought about him often and wished he was still here and still my doctor. He was a wonderful person and a wonderful doctor. I want his family to know of his kindness and expertise medically, and how much his Charleston patients missed him (occasionally I would run into someone else who was his patient here.) My prayers are with you during this time.

My deepest sympathies to Susan and your children. Ezell was chief resident when I was a senior med student. He was always a great friend to me and to my parents, who were his patients when he was in private practice in Charleston. His mentoring and friendship are cherished.

I pray the love of God enfolds you during your journey through grief. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal ~~ Love leaves a memory no one can steal. May those memories bring you comfort now and in the days ahead.
I grew up with Ezell in Beaumont and attended school with him; we graduated in 1956 at the same time. I often visited with his family when I was home from school and later when I would return home for a visit. Mr. Cline enjoyed sitting on his front porch were we visited.
May your memories be cherished all your days! I trust this poem will bring you comfort and peace.
To Those I Love
&
Those Who Love Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go I have so many things to see and do You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness I thank you for the love you each have shown But now it's time I travelon alone. So grieve a while for me if grieve you must Then let your grief be comforted by trust It's only for a while that we must part So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on So if you need me, call me and I will come Though you can't see me or touch me I'll be near All of my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone I'll greet you with a smile and say "Welcome Home"

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Cline. He was not only a doctor, he was a friend. I met him when I worked at Roper on the night shift and he would make rounds on his patients. He made sure he saw each and every one of his patients every day while they were in the hospital. Sometimes he wouldn't leave until 4am! He was so dedicated. He will never be replaced in the medical field or in our hearts. God bless his family and all who know him.

I was saddened to read about Dr. Cline's passing. I first met him in 1975 when I was pregnant with my first child and was referred to him for a medical problem. He became our family doctor and he and my husband really got along great. We were sorry when he left Charleston and often wondered where he went. He'll be missed.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Ezell's passing. He will forever be in my thoughts and prayers. On September 14, 1976 he saved my life. During a routine school physical, he sensed something was not as it should be. I met him at the hospital the next morning - my 20th birthday - and began my victorious battle against cancer. I am alive today because of him. He will always have a special place in our hearts. Our prayers go out to his family as well. He wlll most certainly be missed by all who knew him. Skip Martin

My deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Cline. He was not only my doctor here in Charleston but also a very good friend. He not only treated me but also was there for my family in the best and worst times of my illness. I have no doubt without the grace of God and the knowledge and skills of Dr. Cline my life would have been cut short some twenty seven years ago. God bless him and his family.
