My I think about you all the time,
And every day it hurts to cry.
So much has happened in my life,
I'm not sure how hard to try.

Tears are falling constantly,
My heart hurts everyday.
I think about your beautiful smile,
That I pray I see again someday.

The sweet smell of your perfume,
Has slowly faded away.
But all your helpful teachings,
Are always here to stay.

I can't express how much you taught me,
So much I can't explain.
All the times I can remember,
Never once heard you complain.

So many hearts were broken,
The day God called you home.
It seems as though each one of us,
Were left to survive alone.

I know there was a reason,
That you had to leave.
To keep us in your watchful eyes,
So now in God I really do believe.
Thank you for being my Grandma Maxine, My beautiful best friend. My confidant who I could say tell anything to and it would go no farther. Thank you for giving me you as the best gift a grand child could ever have in life. A beautiful you:) Miss you and Love you

I am saddened to hear of Ms.Maxine's passing but I am rejoicing that she is pain free and gone home. She was a special woman & was a dear friend to my Mom, Naomi. When my Mom passed, I called Maxine & asked her to do an impossible task. She knew my mom's hair better than anyone so she performed a miracle that took many hours. She colored and styled mom's hair after she had been hospitalized for 54 days with very little hair fixing. I asked her, knowing that it was going to be difficult but she looked at me with loving blue eyes and said that she wouldn't want it any other way. She & I talked about that special time many times. I saw her a couple of months ago and she was frail but she still smiled & gave me a hug. The words that remain in my mind were ," I wake up hurting & it never stops,& I really don't know what is wrong with me." Maxine, you are at rest. May God wrap his arms around your famiy & provide them the strength to face each new day.

My Precious Maxine:

You,coming into your life when I was only eighteen(18) made it a wonderful world for me. You loved me, as I loved you immediately.

You taught me so many things, #1) Always get dressed before you leave home and put that make-up on, as you never knew who you might see. #2)In the seventies, your words to me, never wear curlers in your hair to town (absolutely,a no, no.......).

There was always a special glow about you, my Maxine. You were always so polished and extremely beautiful. As I always told you, "My Jackie Kennedy".

You taught me so many things,it would take much to much paper, to write them all down, probably would be a best seller.

My heart cries and misses you, you left this life way too soon, for all of us. I wish I had just one more day. I miss you my dear and SPECIAL FRIEND.

I will always, love you.
