I had the pleasure of spending the last months as one of Mr. Daigles' nurses. I see many references of him being a gentleman -and was he ever.He was a soft spoken man with nothing bad to say about nothing and nobody. He was too cool! I would tease him and sing the Harry Bellafonte song "Da-oh" and he would chime in all off key singing the rest. It was our little thing. I know everybody will miss him.

Joyce, my greatest condolences; you are in our thoughts and prayers. I will always remember Uncle Maurice for his smile, laughter and stories. It was just before Pepere passed that I remember him visiting Fort Kent. What a time, Maurice, Julie, Roy and all the F.K. brothers all gathered to reminisce, and spend great times together. A wonderful time to learn about their past …. from all the stories and tales. I’m sure there are many stories being told in Heaven right now, as they meet again. Take care Joyce, I’ll write soon. Love, Shelly.

I feel very fortunate to have had two grandfathers in Jacksonville, FL. I always looked forward to running over to Maurice and Gladys home as soon as we arrived for summer vacations. Maurice was always so kind to all of us and so fun to be around. I have many memories to cherish. We will miss him dearly. Aunt Joyce and family members, you have our our deepest sympathy.

Maurice was a true male role model. He was a dear friend as well as a talented mechanic, carpenter, and farmer. He willingly and generously shared his talents, time and produce with our family. Now Maurice is reunited with his beloved Gladys in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. We look forward to seeing him again when the Lord calls us home, or at His Coming.

Only the fondest of memories of a very kind man with a heart of gold. I especially loved how he always called Joanna "Half Pint". We will all miss our special times running next door for jimmy's fried chicken, homade ice cream, and fresh corn on the cob. He will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to Joyce......and to all of his dear family members.
