To the entire Artigues Family,
I know many of you and I know that Maurice was an incredible Patriarch of a wonderful family. I remember a year that Hudson and I spent Thanksgiving at Kelly's house and he took the boys down to the dock and Hudson had such a ball. Your Dad made us feel like family and we will never forget it. My heart is heavy for all of you, but perhaps he will meet my father in heaven and they will entertain many!! God bless all of you through this very difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and will remain with you..
Love,
Cristin & Hudson Davis

Dear Elodie and family,
The DeMarco family are saddened by the news of Maurice's passing. I had only learned of his illness a few weeks ago from Reese. I remember the friendships that James and Steven developed with Reese and Ron over the years.
Your wonderful close knit family will be in our prayers. Maurice, will be missed by all that knew him.
Love and Hugs to you all, Karen, James, Steven and Melissa DeMarco

Elodie,
I can picture both Bro. Philip and coach Farley Day greeting Reece at the Golden Gates, welcoming him to his final Homecoming. What a sight to see the joy on the faces of the other S.S.C. alumni from the 1950 football teams as the reunite once again.
Always treasure your memories, blessings, love and life together for 60 plus years.
May God continue to Bless the Artigues family members as they cope with their loss.

Aunt Elodie and family,
The reward for a life well lived is the comfort of everlasting life and the love and respect of your family and friends. Uncle Reece was well rewarded. I will continue to pray that the memories of his lifetime continue to comfort you in yours until you can all be together again. I hope to join you all in Mississippi to celebrate his life once again.

Please accept my prayers and condolences on the passing of Mr. Artigues. He was a kind and generous friend to me, and it will be an honor and privilege for me to participate in his Requiem Mass on Saturday at Stella Maris. May he rest in the peace of the Redeemer, until we are all reunited again in God's happy heaven.

Reece was married to my first cousin, Elodie, for 55 years. I and my 2 brothers attended their 50 wedding anniversary in Mt Pleasant in 2009 - it was a wonderful celebration of their love for one another and the love that the entire Artigues family has for one another. Each of the Artigues boys is unique, but they all have a good part of Reece in each of them as seen by their good character and devotion to one another and to all their extended family. I was fortunate to know Reece, he was a man to be admired and set an example of family devotion to be emulated. God also blessed Reece by uniting him with Elodie and giving them wonderful children and grandchildren. He set an example for every good christian man to follow. I know God's angels have already conducted his soul into Paradise. God bless all the Artigues.
