Mary Frances Patrick Wilkinson Charleston - Mary Frances Patrick Wilkinson, 84, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Boyce David Wilkinson, Jr., entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 2, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 in Fort Johnson Baptist Church, 1473 Camp Road at 2:00 pm, Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mary was born September 21, 1932 in Conway, South Carolina, daughter of the late John B. Patrick and Velma P. Patrick. She was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church. Mary is survived by her four daughters: Sharon W. Taylor of Sterling, VA, Brenda W. Bruorton of Marietta, GA, Pamela J. Wilkinson of Charleston, SC and Debra W. Bagwell of Lexington, SC; four sons: Steve A. Wilkinson of Birmingham, AL, Dennis N. Wilkinson of Charleston, SC, L. Scott Wilkinson of Goose Creek, SC and Michael P. Wilkinson of Woodstock, GA; brother, James W. Patrick of Goose Creek, SC; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her oldest son, Boyce David Wilkinson III. Also predeceased by brothers John H. Patrick, Larry W. Patrick and H.M. Patrick. Mary was a devoted wife and mother. Her legacy is witnessed by the strength of her family. Alternately, all her children feel that she is the strongest woman they have ever known and are proud to be able to call her "my mom". Her pride was in her children, grandchildren, home and yard. Travelers on Harbor View Road will miss seeing her working outside. Memorials may be made to Fort Johnson Baptist Church,1473 Camp Road, James Island, SC 29412 or Hollings Cancer Center, 86 Jonathan Lucas Street, Charleston, SC 29425.
