Mary Wells Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Moore Wells HANAHAN - Mary Elizabeth Moore Wells of Hanahan, SC, wife of the late Clayton Carl Wells, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 7, 2014 at the age of 84. Elizabeth was born March 30, 1929 in Andrews, SC, daughter of the late Fred Lee and Bessie Eunice Moore of Andrews, SC. She is survived by six children: Dennis Higgs (Kelly), Cindy Higgs Groves (Kisler), Betty Higgs Livingston, Carla Wells Lutz (Mark), Mary Wells Wolf (Bill) and Barbara Wells Mahoney (Dave); twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Eunice Moore Ward and her brother, Ted Lee Moore (Brenda). She is also survived by an extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as, a host of wonderful friends she deeply cherished. Elizabeth was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Hanahan. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday February 9, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Elizabeth's Funeral Service will begin immediately thereafter in the Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Bob Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Elizabeth's pallbearers are her beloved grandsons Trey Groves, Eric Groves, Tripp Livingston, David Livingston, Matthew Livingston and Wells Mahoney. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude for the wonderful care given by her caregivers at NHC of Charleston and the hospice staff of Caris Healthcare. What a beautiful service for an absolutely beautiful lady. Lifting all in the family up in prayer. Great memories of the past in family gatherings with good food and many laughs. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of that along with Ed.
