Mrs Warner had all the 8th graders in awe of her! She taught with passion and kept strict order in the hallways. Students learned, and followed her directions without question. Her humor reached even the toughest of students- those who "didn't like science' or thought it was "too hard". She sensed a challenge, and by the end of the year, the students would admit to now loving the subject, and doing well in her class. My daughter was privileged to be in her class, and I am forever grateful.

Dear Lisa and Johnny, I certainly will miss your mother. I know it broke my mother's heart when Mary Ellen became ill and moved to Anderson. We took as many trips to see her until mother became ill. Rip Peace Mary Ellen. You will be missed.
PS I will think of your mother every time I make her Date Nut Balls, Sands or Pecan Tarts.

She educated generations of students in Charleston. So, her memory will live on forever. She was strict, funny, witty as all get out.
On FB, I read something a former student remembered about her. It was something our teacher said, "I'm going to hang you up by your toes while whistling Dixie backwards!"
Mrs. Warner, 8-D, Wallace Middle School.
Never doubt the influence of a teacher. That'll remain long after they're gone. Mrs. Warner is just one. But a good one, she was.
