Ms Alice was a true southern lady. Soft spoken but tuff as nails. Smart is just not the correct word for her. She knew so much and was happy to share a bit of her wisdom to me. I met Ms Alice when she moved onto the 3rd floor where I was working. I had met her 2 sons the day before. We hit it off and became friends. Oh how she loved her family. The boys were her heart. She talked about her daughter and especially her granddaughter that she was so proud of. Her husband she loved so much and the home that they built. Goodness she surely loved to show me pictures. I assisted her in sewing as time went by. She had her ways for sure. The clothes had to be in a certain way. Sheets and linens had to just right. The prayers ,hugs ,her smile , and the occasional phone call to check on me will be missed more than she will ever know. But Ms Alice will get her wings and be with Jesus. Just as she imagined as she played her key board. God Speed dear one.....until we meet again.
