Mary Rivers Smith LANHAM, MD - Mary Ellen Rivers (Thomas) Smith, 92, of Lanham, MD, formerly of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 14, 2023. The family of Mrs. Smith will celebrate her life on Saturday, October 28, 2023, 11:00 am at Morris Street Baptist Church, 25 Morris St., Charleston, SC 29403. Interment: Church cemetery. Viewing for Mrs. Smith will be on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Charles F. Thomas (Indira N.), Jeffrey D. Thomas, Jennifer C. Thomas, and Belynda R. Gambrell (Donald); and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Frank C. Smith and former husband, Rev. Charles F.
