It was truly a pleasure and a privilege to get to know and spend time with Mary Jo. I am forever grateful to her for her kindness, support, encouragement, love, and vivacious spirit. She was such a beautiful and remarkable woman and I'm inspired by her strength and how she led her life. I will always remember our time together fondly and especially appreciated her stories, perspective, and wicked sense of humor. I also respect how she treated others and the big, kind, genuine heart she had. While she is dearly missed, there is peace in knowing that she is now at peace and lived a rich, full, and meaningful life.

I worked with Mary Jo at St. Francis many years ago. Her generous smile and 'can do' attitude made the day more pleasant. I was fortunate to be able to call her my friend.

Mary Jo was the best neighbor, friend, godmother to my son, and a witness to the mercy and goodness of our Lord. Her smile was wide one Christmas Eve, when my husband and I wandered into Nativity church. We were not Catholic, but Mary Jo welcomed us like long lost friends. We were led to Nativity because it was our neighborhood church, we joined Nativity because it became home to us like no other church we had attended. Mary Jo was an excellent "recruiter" to foster fellowship in the Nativity Ladies Guild. Alan and I will miss her.

What a lovely obituary- Aunt Mary Jo has been a beacon in our family’s life since the late 1950s. We never lived near the family, but relished a long-distance relationship for nearly 70 years. Her cards, phone calls and occasional family visits provided the glue to keep our families connected. She will be remembered for her kind heart and positive attitude. So much love for so many people! And now she walks into the arms of our Lord and Savior. Sadly missed by the Kiesel, Lott, and Wallace/ Brumbaugh family.
