Mary Rapp Obituary

Mary Yvonnne Rapp LOUISVILLE, KY - Mary Yvonne Rapp, 78, of Louisville passed away peacefully June 14, 2014 surrounded by her family. Yvonne was born July 27, 1935 in Lancaster, Pa. to Edward and Evelyn Kirchner. She was married to Christian F. Rapp in Paradise, Pa. in 1953. Yvonne was a graduate of Thomas Moore College in Earlanger, Ky., prior to college, in 1953, she was the Head Majorette and Homecoming Queen of McCaskey High School in Lancaster, Pa. Yvonne was the Owner of Yvonne Rapp Gallery on Frankfort Avenue in Louisville, Ky. for 25 years. Outside her family, her greatest joy was in helping artist succeed in their profession. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Louisville. She traveled well in her life and was loved by all who knew her. Yvonne leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband Christian F. Rapp, her children Pamela Murphy, Linda Devore and Christian E. Rapp. Also her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral service noon Thursday at Pearson's 149 Breckenridge Lane with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation 3-7 pm Wednesday at Pearson's. Memorial contribution may be made to the CBC Group at Baptist Health Louisville, 4003 Kresge Way, Louisville, Kentucky 40207. I just found out about the loss of this beautiful friend. When she took you under her wing it was with an all out commitment. When that happened you knew she believed in you and your world was better for it. Our thoughts are with all of the family. Dick and Nancy Weis, Vermont.
