My deapest condolences to your family. I have known Mary all thru Ema/Saic days. When i first met her in the 90s we were friends right away. I always stopped by to see her every chance I had. I would say hey sweetie and she would respond hey honey. We always took a minute to catch up and crack a few jokes. I was truely blessed to know the beautiful spirit that she is. Mary was a beautiful person that was encouraging to everyone she met. I always left her office better off then when I went in. The world has lost an angel on earth. Prayers to your family and God bless them.

To the Family of the Late Ms. Mary F. Pinckney,
I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to your family on the passing of my beloved Ms. Mary. She was such a sweet, kind, loving, caring, and a very encouraging person. I met her some years ago while working at SAIC. Our spirits immediately agreed with each other. We found out we had a lot in common when we found out we were both affiliated with the AME Church and we were apart of the same district. It was always a joy to be in her presence and to speak with her. I am truly going to miss her! So Ms. Mary our time has come that we must depart for now, so I will just simply bid you goodnight my sweet friend and I will see you in the morning. Peace and Blessings to the family.

My heart and prayers are with Mary's family and friends. My friend Mary was
a loving, caring, and very friendly lady. Everyone who worked with Mary
would visit her office just to be in her presence. Always smiling and
supportive, Mary had a way of making you feel good about yourself. I would
stop by her office every day for a hug and a good laugh. Mary took me in as
one of her own and for that gesture of kindness, I will forever be grateful.
Mary was a great friend and co-worker, when circumstances changed and I had
to move back home, Mary would call or send me a text telling me how much she
missed me and I called and texted her as well, it was like we were still in
the same room. I could go on and on about my relationship with Mary but that
would take a few days. Mary you will truly be missed. Jelly I want you to
know, I am here for you if you need or want anything. You are truly like a
daughter to me. I know your mommy is smiling and so proud of you. Please
stay in touch. My prayer is that God continues to bless you and your family
and bring us all peace and understanding.

So terribly sorry to hear of Mary's passing; I met her back in 1995 or '96 when we worked for EMA in N. Charleston. She was such a lovely person and carried herself as royalty - I even dubbed her 'Queen of Maybelline,' as our offices were located on Maybelline Road. I would even bow deeply and address her as "Your Majesty"! She was always so gentle and kind, and I'm sure she'll be missed greatly by beloved family and friends. Peace to all of them - they must know she was always greatly loved!

My deepest condolences to the Pinckney family during their time of bereavement. As others have stated previously, i too worked with Ms. Mary at EMA/SAIC for many years. She was always a pleasure to work with and always had the biggest and brightest smile that would cheer anyone up. Everytime i went near her work location i would stop in and say hello. She will be missed.
