Mary O'Quinn Obituary

O'QUINN, Mary WALTERBORO - Mrs. Mary Ellen O'Quinn, 75, of 516 Dantzler Lane, Walterboro, died Thursday morning, November 17, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, November 19, 2005, in The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Great Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Walterboro. Mrs. O'Quinn was born July 31, 1930 in the Cane Branch section of Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Josh and Mamie Smoak. She was the widow of Mr. Dan O'Quinn and was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church and had attended the Faith Baptist Church. She will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are: two sons, Dan O'Quinn, Jr., of Walterboro and Jerry O'Quinn of Beaverton, Oregon; a daughter, Sandy Ulmer of Walterboro; a sister, Dorothy Neal of Greensboro, North Carolina; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted or the family has suggested that memorials be directed in her memory to: the Arthritis Foundation, Post Office Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077-7491. I will miss Aunt Mary tremendously. She was always there for me when my mother died and I know they have been reunited in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.
