Mary Mercer Obituary
Angela dedicated more than 40 years of her life working as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), serving in several local medical and nursing facilities. Her gentle touch and deep empathy left lasting impressions on countless patients, families, and coworkers throughout her career. She was the proud mother of two daughters and was lovingly known as "Nana" to her five grandchildren, who will forever remember her famous "Nana kisses" and "Nana cuddling".
Angela's life was marked by kindness, strength, and selflessness. Whether she was caring for patients or comforting her grandchildren, she did so with her whole heart. Her legacy is one of love and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Jeanette Holden; father, John Mazzie, and sister, Patricia Elaine Wofford.
Angela is survived by her daughters, Kyndal Elizabeth Shilton (Peter) and Alysha Danielle Mercer; brother, Tony Sparks; sister, Sherry Lynn Wilson (Greg); grandchildren, Jahmari Bryce Suttles, August Eli Drayven Suttles, Italia Miriella Mercer, Liam Oliver Shilton and Evelyn "Evie" Rose Shilton, and of course her furry four-legged friend, Maggie.
A special thank you to Angela's dedicated caregivers, Sherry Lynn Wilson, Kyndal Elizabeth Shilton, Brenda Devlin, Ray Stephens and Alysha Danielle Mercer, who provided Angela with comfort, dignity, and support in her final days. Your compassion and attentiveness meant the world.
A Celebration of Life for Angela will be announced at a later date.

Angela and I met online and became fast good friends. We shared a career in nursing and a love of Mexican food. I think of her every time I eat Mexican ! I loved to hear her laugh, that laugh was infectious ! I loved her dearly and we'll miss her tremendously, but I have a lot of memories of our friendship and her kind-heartedness. Love you Angela. You are missed .

Several months ago, my first cousin, Angela, and I had a long phone conversation and shared some neat memories from our childhood. So glad we reconnected. We had lost touch, as cousins who move away are prone to do. It didn't take long to laugh about family, though. So glad we talked. Pick up a phone. Call an old friend, a favorite family member. Agsin, so, so glad I did.
