Mary McCranie Obituary

Mary Ella McCranie SUMMERVILLE - Mary Ella McCranie, 68, of Summerville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 1, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at James A. Dyal Funeral Home from 2 to 4 o'clock followed by her funeral service at 4 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in Ms. McCranie's honor to Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., 2121 K Street NW, Ste. 200, Washington, DC 20037-1830. Ms. McCranie was born June 9, 1949 in Summerville, daughter of the late James Roy Westbrook and Hager (Hazel) Gertrude Cook Westbrook. Ms. McCranie was the owner of Minky's Social Club for over twenty-eight years. She loved Summerville and meeting people and never met a stranger. She enjoyed bowling, going on cruises and traveling. She was a selfless person who always gave to others and she loved all of her "Little Minks". She loved her family dearly and will be missed, loved and never forgotten by all who knew her. Survivors include three daughters: Tracy Lynn Davis of Summerville, Tonya M. Davis of Summerville and Tiffany Garlock (Drew) of Summerville, six grandchildren: Robbie, Taylor, Matthew, Tabitha (Tadpole), Chase and Tagan, three great-grandchildren: Dakota, Isalia and Silas, several nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews and several cousins; two brothers: Jackie Westbrook and Jerry Westbrook. She was predeceased by one sister and two brothers: Linda Bazzle, James (Jimmy) Westbrook and Jesse Westbrook.
