Mary Ann McCoy, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on April 24, 1932, to the late Fred Beloat and Eloise Martin Beloat, Mary Ann lived a life full of love, service, and joy. A proud graduate with a bachelor's degree in nursing, Mary Ann dedicated her professional life to caring for others, retiring after a long and fulfilling career as a nurse. Her compassion extended far beyond the hospital walls, she was a caregiver in every sense of the word, always ready with a warm smile, listening ear, and kind heart. Mary Ann McCoy was devotedly married to her beloved husband, John William McCoy, for many years. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and dedication. Mary Ann was the heartbeat of her family-the one who brought everyone together, where her cooking was just as comforting as her presence. She cherished time with loved ones and was known for being the life of the party, bringing laughter, energy, and a sense of connection wherever she went. Mary Ann generously dedicated over 20 years of her time to Help4Kids, where her compassion and commitment made a lasting impact on countless children and families in need. Her generosity and outgoing spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Whether you were family, friend, or stranger, Mary Ann made you feel seen, valued, and loved. A woman of deep faith, Mary Ann was a devoted member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where she found strength, community, and purpose throughout her life. She is survived by her loving children: Jon M. McCoy (Ginger L. McCoy) and Merikay Purcell; her grandchildren: Jarrett McCoy and Matthew McCoy; as well as a daughter in law, Jeanette McCoy. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John William McCoy; her parents; her son, Michael David McCoy; her sister, Carolyn Laub; as well as her son in law, Kenneth Purcell. A visitation of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 1:30pm in the Chapel.
