Mary Anne McClure MT. PLEASANT - Mary Anne McClure, 77, of Mount Pleasant, widow of Joseph Barry McClure, passed away Wednesday evening, August 15, 2012 at the Hospice Center of Charleston, Mount Pleasant. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 12 o'clock. Funeral Mass will follow at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, Summerville at 1 o'clock. Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, James Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Meals On Wheels, 111 Waring Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Mrs. McClure was born March 10, 1935 in Savannah, Georgia, daughter of the late Johnny and Mary Lucas Thigpen. She was a graduate of St. Vincent's Academy in Savannah, Georgia. She volunteered with Meals On Wheels and at Summerville Elementary School. She enjoyed growing roses. She retired as a Teacher's Assistant with the Charleston County School District and was a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church. Surviving are: two sons and one granddaughter: Thomas Barry McClure and his wife Cindy of Summerville, Michael Joseph McClure of Baltimore, Maryland and Alexandria Alyse McClure of Summerville.
