Mary Evelyn Mattox N. Charleston - Mary Evelyn Mattox, 83, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of LeRoy "Buddy" Mattox entered into eternal rest Friday, January 12, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in Doorway Baptist Church, 7825 Dorchester Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mary was born September 26, 1934 in Conway, South Carolina, daughter of the late Boyd Jolly and Ruth Thompkins Spalviero. She was a long term member of Doorway Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Kenneth W. Mattox (Lisa) of Goose Creek, SC; daughter Debbie Mattox Jordan (Freddie) of Yonges Island, SC; six grandchildren, Kristen Fouts (Casey), Kyle Jordan (Kelsey), Tasha Mattox, Mason Mattox, K. J. Mattox (Ashley), Tiffany Benton (Chris) and five great-grandchildren, Peyton Marie Fouts, Hadley Jordan, Gracelynn Benton, Emery Benton and Baby Boy Jordan.
