Dear Marquardt Family,
You do not know me and I unfortunately never met Mary - I only knew of her through my good friends and yours, Alton & Mary Hutto.
As a mother of a daughter and BEHS graduate, I feel a connection and cannot imagine your grief. I was amazed to hear of the strength of Mary's faith, so unusual in one so young. I know that it is only through that faith in Christ that you will find "the peace which passes all understanding" and the strength you need at this time and in the days ahead. Our loved ones are never truly lost and we can look forward to seeing them again. God bless you.

With only your stories to guide us and Mary's beautiful face looking down on us from her picture, we can only imagine how widely and deeply her story and faith have touched the hearts of people far and wide. Surely she is beaming and lovingly held in the arms of her Lord with as much care and gentleness as you have held her on earth. Much Love and Blessings to you

I have such vivid memories of Mary running and jumping around the sidelines when your Laura and my Lili played soccer together those many years ago. I always thought she was such a cool kid, she never complained about having to be at all those games and always had a grin on her precious face. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you on this great loss. We are so sorry.

As parents of fellow Sophomore classmates at BEHS, we have you and your family in our prayers. We met Mary's maternal grandparents in Watkins Glen, NY, last summer when they spotted our BEHS license plate. We had just missed all of you being there to visit. We have always had and will continue to keep Mary in our prayers. Even though we can't fathom the loss you are feeling, Heaven has a very bright angel back home.
God Bless,
The Suggs Family
